Fellows & the Application Process

Who are the Fellows?

Fellows refers to theater organizations affiliated with universities or professional theater troupes that receive a fellowship from the Initiative through invitation or a competitive process. Our Fellows are expected to deeply engage in Sinophone theater and contribute to Sinophone communities through their theater-making activities. Each Fellow will receive a 1,000 USD fellowship to serve on the award committee of the Initiative and select four works for the Fellow’s Pick award. Fellows are then required to hold a public script-reading session for these four works and will have the opportunity to apply for additional funding to produce and perform one or more of these works.

Initiative Fellowship

  • 1000 USD fellowship awarded to each fellow organization in late July or early August.

  • Fellows will have the opportunity to apply for additional funding to produce and perform winning works in late October by submitting budget forms and artistic statements.

Fellow Responsibilities
